Answer five questions
We score every class in our catalog against your answers. No brochure range numbers.
Your lane
Why a selector instead of another best-of list
Most e-bike pages copy manufacturer specs. WattTrail Score is a fit model: storage, budget, hills, commute distance, rider height, and whether you must fold. The output is a lane plus one or two classes to open on amazon.com ? not a fake #1 overall.
What we do not claim
We do not dyno-test motors or scrape live prices into this tool. Street prices are class estimates. Confirm stock, class (1/2/3), and battery certification on the listing before you buy.
How the score works
Transparent weights — not a black-box “AI match.”
What is WattTrail Score?
A 100-point fit score with fixed weights: storage 25, budget 20, hills 20, commute 15, height 10, fold preference 10. Higher means a better match to your answers, not a better bike in absolute terms.
Can I trust the recommendation for hills?
Hill points are a class proxy (torque/gearing expectations by frame type), not a lab measurement. Steep daily climbs still deserve the hills guide and a careful look at gears and battery size on the listing.
Does this replace the buyer guides?
No. The selector routes you into the right guide. Read the guide for weight, class rules, and what cheap listings hide ? then check availability on amazon.com.
