What the score is for
To stop people buying a folding fat-tire because it won a cheapest list, when they actually needed a commute bike ? or the reverse. Every recommendation links back to a guide and to amazon.com availability.
The weights
Storage 25, budget 20, hills 20, commute 15, height 10, fold preference 10. Storage leads because a bike you cannot store is a paperweight. Hills and budget catch the next two expensive mistakes.
What we refuse to fake
No scraped live prices inside the score. No dyno torque. No invented range. Class traits are editorial judgments applied consistently; listings still decide the purchase.
How to use it
Run the fit selector, read the lane guide it returns, then open one or two amazon.com classes. If your answers were dishonest (apartment but you have a garage), the score will look wrong ? fix the inputs.

Questions people actually ask.
Is WattTrail Score patented or proprietary data?
The methodology is ours and published on purpose. Competitors can copy the idea; they cannot copy your cumulative guides + selector + consistent scoring without doing the work.
Will the weights change?
Only with a version bump noted on the selector page. Baseline growth reports treat Score v1.0 as the Phase 2 asset.
